Passed away 4/17/12 at the age of 91 at the Minnesota Veteran’s Home. He was the last of the original 14 Yarussos. Lawrence was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII participating in the D-Day Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. He was a recipient of 2 Purple Hearts. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Joan. He is survived by his sons, Dan (Wendy) and Lawrence, Jr.; grandchildren, Anthony, Nick and Heather; step-children, Nancy (Larry) Rogers, Steve (Cissy) Wetschka, Carol Johnson and Joe (Kelly) Wetschka; and 7 step-grandchildren. Visitation Saturday, 4/21/12, from 12 Noon – 2 pm at Mueller Memorial Parkway Chapel, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul.
