Lois Louise  Opseth (Keene)
Beloved Mother & Grandmother Age 89 Passed away May 2, 2016 at the Cerenity Care Center, White Bear Lake, Minnesota. She was born January 18, 1927, in rural western South Dakota to her parents Gladys (Babb) and Raymond Keene. She was the last surviving member of her 1945 graduating class from the South Dakota School for the Deaf, Sioux Falls. She will be sweetly remembered for her love of golf, cooking, a cup of good, strong coffee, and "raspberry" kisses. She met the love of her life, Richard Opseth, Sr, in Des Moines, Iowa, where they married on September 15, 1951. They raised 3 children, during their 35 years of marriage, at their home in White Bear Lake. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother, Robert, sister, Darlene, infant brother, Vernon and niece, Danette. She is survived by children, Richard Jr (Carol) of White Bear Lake, MN; Candy (Dan) Shannon of Geneseo, KS; David (Linda) of Etlan, VA; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Roy Keene; and many nieces and nephews. Lois' family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 10th from 10:00-11:00 a.m. until the service at the Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake. Private interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Mahtomedi. Memorial contributions in Lois' name, may be made to Thompson Hall Deaf Club, 1278 Marshall Ave, St Paul MN 55104
