Beloved Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma & Author
Passed away peacefully on July 7, 2016 at the age of 85. Joan was a loving wife & mother; an accomplished author & poet and an inspirational woman of faith. Preceded in death by husband Leo and son Jimmy. Survived by children Mike (Roxy), Anne Bisciglia (Bob), John (Pat Barry), Ellie Peterson (Craig), Steve (Denise), Katie Utter (John) and Connie Nicholas (Dean); 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and brother Jim Hedeen (Joyce). Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday (July 12) at 11:00 am at ST. MARY OF THE LAKE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4741 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake. Interment St. John's of Little Canada Church Cemetery. Visitation Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at MUELLER MEMORIAL, 4738 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake with closing prayers and sharing at 8:00 pm. Visitation also one hour before the Mass on Tuesday at church. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Waverly Gardens, ALS Association and HealthPartners Hospice.
