Joseph Michael Tuccitto

Joe was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 20, 1925. He was one of eight children to Cora (nee Bruno) and Antonino Tuccitto. He attended Johnson High School and was an All City Hockey Star. He met the love of his life, Mary Saturnini, at the Christ Child Center; the two were married at the original St. Ambrose Catholic Church on May 20, 1950. Joe served in the United States Navy and fought during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid bowler, he appreciated nature, and spent time with his family on summer trips to northern Minnesota. He retired from 3M with a successful career as a machinist. Joe will be dearly missed by all who knew him and he will be remembered for his fun and enthusiastic personality.

Joe passed away on April 23, 2017 at Marian Care Center, where he lived for seven years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonino and Cora Tuccitto; his wife, Mary Tuccitto; his granddaughter, Cristina Johnson; and his seven siblings. He will be missed by his children, Cathy (Steve) Armstrong of South St. Paul, MN, Patrick (Amanda) Tuccitto of Mineral, VA, Donna Johnson of Shorewood, MN, Elizabeth (Ray) Kooser of Tampa, FL, and Joseph (Kim) Tuccitto of Maplewood, MN; his grandchildren, Gina Tuccitto of Dallas, TX, Jerry Tuccitto (Michelle) of St. Paul, MN, Annette (Chris) Pearson of Shoreview, MN, Aaron (Lorena Armstrong Duarte) Armstrong of Minneapolis, MN, Sarah (Aaron Sarver) Armstrong of Minneapolis, MN, Kadie (Jeff) Sorensen of Bloomington, MN, Alexandrea (Ben Pendergrass) Milan of Mahtomedi, MN, Colin Milan of Oakdale, MN, Guido Tuccitto of Cottage Grove, MN, and Mario Tuccitto of Maplewood, MN; his great-grandchildren, Anthony, Alexis, Marissa, Isabella, Emelia, Emmerson, Roman, Nicolas, Alessandro, Ezra, Aiden, and Dominic; and many other family and friends.

There will be a gathering for friends and family from 9:00-11:00AM on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Marian Care Center, 200 Earl Street in St. Paul. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Marian Care Center with Fr. Steve Adrian presiding. A luncheon will immediately follow the Mass with a procession to Fort Snelling National Cemetery beginning at 1:15 PM. Military honors and committal prayers will take place at 2:15 PM. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to the Marian Care Center of St. Paul or the Alzheimer's Association.
