I did not know Patty well. However, our boys played sports together back in the 80's. We had recently moved back to Mahtomedi after our jobs took us out of state. The Mitchell boys were great to Patrick and Kelly as new kids in school. Since, I would see Patty as an election judge when voting, in Festival, and as a coordinator of the Mahtomedi Women's Luncheon. I know she was generous with her time and talents. She always had a smile and a kind word. The world is not blessed with many like her. My condolences to the family and the community.
