Preceded in death by parents; and sister, Mary (Gene) Thorson. Survived by his loving wife of almost 67 years, Arlene; sons, Steve (Kathy) of Maplewood, Mike (Ann) of Lake Elmo, and Rob (Sylvia) of Eagan; 9 grandchildren, Torrie (Chris) Johnson, Alisha (Tom) Sobolewski, Cassie (Keith Gausman), Heidi (Delton) Ernst, Bridget (Ted) Swenson, Travis (Taylor), Trenton, Garrett, and Hannah; 7 great-grandchildren, Kayden, Leila, Luca, Kane, Josie, Logan, and Owen; 2 great-grandsons arriving soon; brother, Owen (Loraine) Froehle; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Visitation 3-6PM on Sunday (August 13) at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake. Second visitation one hour prior to 10:30AM funeral service on Monday (August 14) at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Avenue, Mahtomedi. Military honors and prayers at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
