Obituary for Edna Delores Trahan (Janes)

Edna Delores Trahan (Janes)
Edna Delores Trahan (nee Janes)
Edna was born in Columbia, Kentucky on June 8, 1934. She was one of four children to Ida (nee Huddleston) and Jimmie Janes. Her family moved to Chicago, Illinois where she met the love of her life, Earl “Bill” Trahan. The two were married in October of 1953 and moved to Minnesota. They raised their four children on St. Paul’s eastside. Edna worked in many careers throughout her life. Some of her most remembered jobs are with a bottling company, laundry company, and battery company. When she was not spending time with her family and friends, she was more than likely reading. Edna loved mystery books, romances, and even Stephen King thrillers. She was a very crafty woman and could knit and crochet. In her most recent years, she enjoyed the really intricate coloring books for adults. Edna was known for her outgoing and cheerful personality. She was extremely easy to get to know and she would do anything, for anyone. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Edna is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Earl “Bill” Trahan; her parents, Jimmie and Ida Janes; her son, Earl “Russell” Trahan, Jr., and her sister, Johnnie Merkel. She is survived by her children, Sheila (Jim) Kromer of White Bear Lake, Terri (Greg Fellman) Trahan of St. Paul, and Ida (Gene) Madison of Florida; her grandchildren, Shannon Lowe, Mathew Rowley, James Kromer Jr., Erin (Josh) Casper, Chase Kromer, Tracy Georgekopoulos, and Terry Sheffler Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike Janes, and Dallas Janes; and many other family and friends.
A joined funeral service with her son, Earl Jr., who passed away June 5, 2017, will be held at 11:00am on Monday, November 20, 2017 at MUELLER MEMORIAL PARKWAY CHAPEL, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. Visitation 1 hour prior to service.
