Obituary for Darlene Anne "Dar" Frogner (DeGross)

Darlene Anne "Dar" Frogner (DeGross)
Darlene was born in Northfield, Minnesota on May 26, 1943. She attended grade school at St. Rose of Lima and graduated from Roseville Public High School. She lived in White Bear Lake, MN with her husband Thorwald (Bud) Frogner where they raised their 3 daughters Heather, Billie and Heidi. Thorwald passed away when the girls were young. Darlene began working within the White Bear Lake School District as a bus driver and retired from there. Her daughters and grandchildren were the center of her life. Although her focus was on her family she enjoyed many other activities. She was a master at playing cards, she loved playing with her friends and family. She enjoyed decorating for every holiday, especially Christmas. She loved having her friends and family over during the Holidays. Darlene was preceded in death by her mother, Bernadette (Baltes) Metz, her husband, Throwald; and her brothers, LeRoy DeGross and Michael Metz. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Heather (John) Donelan of Hugo, Billie Kathryn (Mark) Novotny of Shoreview, and Heidi (Andy) Sprado of Lindstrom; her seven grandchildren, Carley, Amanda, Jacob, Logan, Cole, Abby and Charlie; her sisters, Linda Cox; Mary Jo (John) Wolszon, and Susanne (Jeff) Schmitz; her brother Dennis Metz; her sisters-in-law, Darlene Frogner and Hilda DeGross; step-daughters, Betsy, Debra & Sandy; life-long friends, Carol, Ann, Patty and Vonnie along with many other dear family and friends. We would like to thank the Cerenity Care Center staff for your loving care of our Mom.
