Obituary for Phyllis A. Ricci

Phyllis Ann Ricci (nee St. Sauver)

Phyllis was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 28, 1942, the daughter of Susan (nee Bofenkamp) and Lawrence St. Sauver. She attended Johnson High School in St. Paul, where she met the love of her life, Gerald Ricci. The two graduated from Johnson in their class of 1960. Following graduation, they were married at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. After having four children together, she dedicated her time to caring for them and being a phenomenal mother. Her passion was always taking care of her family. Her compassion carried on into the lives of her grandchildren who lovingly called her “Mammy Bears”. Phyllis loved to cook and was always trying to feed people. Her most famous dish would be her spaghetti and Italian salad. After many years on the Eastside, the family moved to North St. Paul. Following retirement, she and Jerry made their home in White Bear Lake and became members of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Anyone who knows Phyllis will describe her as an absolute sweetheart. She will be missed by everyone.

Phyllis passed away unexpectedly at St. Joseph Hospital on Saturday, December 16, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Susan St. Suaver; and her sister-in-law, Maggie St. Sauver. She will be dearly missed by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Ricci; her children, Dean “Dino” (Kim) Ricci of Lindstrom, Michael “Mike” (Jill) Ricci of Hugo, Colleen “Kelly” (Terry) Clarkin of Hugo, and Nick Ricci of North St. Paul; her grandchildren, Ashlee Ricci, Amber Ricci, Allie Ricci, Adam Ricci, Natalie Ricci, Ben Ricci, Mariah Ricci, Kyle Clarkin, Nichole Clarkin, Katie Clarkin, Dylan Ricci, Kayla Ricci; her great-grandson, William Ricci; her siblings, Carolyn (George) Garcia; Terri St. Sauver, Larry (Debby) St. Sauver, Doug St. Sauver, and Steve St. Sauver; and many other family and friends.

There will be a visitation from 4:00-7:30PM on Tuesday (12/19) at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave, White Bear Lake, with a Rosary Service at 7:30PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30AM on Wednesday (12/20) at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3878 Highland Avenue, White Bear Lake, with a second visitation from 10-11:30AM at the church.
