Obituary for Carol LaRue Lahr

Lahr
Carol LaRue
Beloved Wife, Mom, Grandma & Great-Grandma

Carol was born on February 1, 1938, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Florence Peterson, three siblings, Kenny Peterson, Dickie Peterson and Bev Meide, brother-in-law, Ray Miller, and special son-in-law, Tim Orsello.

Carol met the love of her life, Ron Lahr, and married on April 18, 1959. They raised their four children, Cheryl, Steven, Kim and James on St. Paul’s East Side. Carol was known as the neighborhood mom. Her children meant everything to her. Not only did Carol have one of the greatest smiles, her heart grew more and more as she became a Grandma, and then a Great-Grandma. She loved long drives wherever the car would take her, Winter Carnival Medallion hunting, walks around Phalen Lake, shopping, lipstick, and the Minnesota State Fair. Her home was meticulous, and she was very proud of it. She loved visiting with all her neighbors, and as new neighbors moved in, she was right there to welcome them.

She will be missed very dearly by her husband Ron, her children Cheryl (Mike) Dreyer, Steven Lahr, Kimberly Orsello, and James (Sue) Lahr; her grandchildren Amy (Tom) Forchas, Kristina Orsello, Brenda (Bill) Bouthilet, and Stephanie (Alex) Fischer; her great-grandchildren, Brenden, Elias and Kylee Soltau, Sophia and Anthony Forchas, Brian Bouthilet and soon another great-grandchild, as well as her sister, Joan and many other family and friends. She will forever be in our hearts.
