Mike and Sue Quinn

I knew Jim as a fellow motorcycle rider. He invited us, about twenty years ago, to join him on the annual Sturgis ride in South Dakota. I have been making the trek to South Dakota every year since then. Jim would also join us on our summer rides thru Northern Michigan. Out west, Jim would lead the rides thru the Black Hills, the canyons, and around the cities of Sturgis, Deadwood, and Rapid City, and Sundance and Hewlett in Wyoming. He knew his way around South Dakota and the people that got to know him considered him their friend. Jim had a quick wit, a good sense of humor and, at times, a sharp tongue. You know where you stood with Jim. He especially liked stopping in at the B & B bar in Spearfish. Jim would order a Coke and people watch as the bikers and some of the Hells Angels would come and go. A fun guy to hang out with, Jim you will truly be missed. Sue and I extend our condolences to you, Linda, and to the whole Jim O'Brien clan.
