Karl was the first kid I met when my family moved off the farm into town. He made point of introducing me to the "big city" neighborhood that summer between 6th and 7th grade and extended a hand of friendship when it felt like no one else cared or knew I existed. I never forget that and I think I always tried to emulate his example in my own affairs. Karl was a great guy that way - open and friendly; he made people feel better and do better just for having met him. I'll miss Karl at our HS reunion this summer. He made a difference in a lot of people lives. God Bless.
