I was to Karl an acquaintance, by association, by profession, and by personal experience, and I not only heard many times but understood the challenges he endured. Many loved him, many wanted the best for him, many reached out and extended hope and advices, to the best of their own abilities. I admire his continued commitment to civic and charitable causes. I understand that desire, too. I’m sure his work is not over, and that many will hear from him again, in memory and example.
