Obituary for Carl Ernest Peaslee

Carl Ernest Peaslee
LIFE STORY

Carl Ernest Peaslee

Carl was born in Riverside, California on November 26, 1943. He was one of four boys to Caroline Graf and Ernest Peaslee. The family moved to Minnesota where he began attending Harding High School in St. Paul. After graduating high school, he went on to enlist in the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he began attending Minnesota School of Business and started his career at the Minnesota Licensing Bureau. He met the love of his life, Denise M. Morse, and the two were married at Sacred Heart Parish. They raised their family on St. Paul’s Eastside. Carl enjoyed reading and fishing but his pride and joy was his grandchildren. He carried a book around of photos of his 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was always gushing about their accomplishments and most recent photos. He will be remembered for his fun loving personality but also for his stubborn and sarcastic sense of humor.

On the morning of May 8, 2018, Carl passed away at St. Joseph Hospital, with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his mother, Caroline Graff; his father, Ernest Peaslee; his brother, Donald Peaslee; and his grandsons, Jeffrey Thill Jr. and Gabriel Peaslee. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Denise Peaslee of St. Paul; his children, Terri (Greg Grobe) Peaslee of Farmington, John (Kellie) Peaslee of St. Paul, Beth (John) Schultz of Minnetonka, and Rick (Nicole) Peaslee of Farmington; his 12 grandchildren, Michael Brew, Cody Schultz, Ashley Thill, Dalton Schultz, Gavin Neibling, Thomas Peaslee, John Michael Schultz, Caroline Peaslee, Schott Thill, Brianna Peaslee, and Jase Peaslee; his 3 great-grandchildren, Lily Brew, Zakk Brew, and Jacob Brew; his brothers, David Peaslee and Harold Peaslee; and many other family and friends.

There will be a gathering for family and friends on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10AM-1PM with a memorial service at 11AM, all at Mueller Memorial, 835 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul. A formal procession will follow the visitation to Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Heart Association.
