Obituary for Marilyn Alice Molean

Molean
Marilyn Alice
Beloved Sister
August 14, 1936 ~ May 17, 2018
Lifelong resident of St. Paul’s Eastside, she was born to Alice (Klausen) and Arthur Molean. After graduating from Harding High School, she took a clerical position for the Sate of MN, where she rose in her career to the position of State Sales Tax Examiner. Retirement after 47 years with the State gave Marilyn time to transfer her vetch-filled backyard into a beautiful garden where she spent many happy hours. She enjoyed reading and spending time with friends. Proud of her Swedish heritage, she was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church. A lover of animals of all kinds, Marilyn was a passionate supporter of the North American Bear Center in Ely, MN. She is survived by her sister Dee Molean and by her sweet kitty, Lucy. Service Tuesday (May 22) at 11:00 am at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 463 Maria Avenue with visitation one hour before the service. Interment Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to First Lutheran Church, the North American Bear Center or donors choice.
