Jean A.
Age 84 of North St. Paul
Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 8, 2018 in the presence of her loving family after a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Marie Joyce (nee Garvey); sister, Joan (J.R.) French and their children, Missy, Steve and Mark.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Donald B. Regan; their children, Michael O. (Mary), Patrick O. (Mary), Kelly, Colleen (Joaquín), Sean O. (Mary), Katie (Andrew) Nath, Daniel O. (Korie); 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; her brother, John (Robin) Joyce of Oak Park, IL, and Jean’s beloved French and Joyce nieces and nephews.
Jean was born in Bowman, ND. She attended country school for a few years and graduated with honors from both Grand Meadow MN High School and the College of St. Teresa, Winona, MN with a B.S. in Nursing. Jean was an occasional surgical scrub nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for the second Dr. Charlie Mayo.
Jean possessed an uncommon and humble beauty of body and soul. She built many fond friendships in her extended family, neighborhood, church, school, hockey, bus and banking communities.
Jean’s family is grateful for the medical staff at Entira Clinic North St. Paul and Mayo Clinic Rochester. A special thanks to Josh, Mary, Joanne, Ed and the home hospice care team.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM on Wednesday, June 13 at CHURCH OF ST. PETER, 2600 Margaret St. N., North St. Paul. Visitation will be 4-8PM on Tuesday with the Rosary being prayed at 7:30PM. Visitation also two hours prior to Mass on Wednesday, all at CHURCH OF ST. PETER. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in North St. Paul with lunch to follow at church.
In lieu of flowers, may we suggest memorials to Church of St. Peter or donor’s choice.
