Chuck is preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Evelyn and brother, Ronald. He is survived by Joan, his wife of 61 years; sons, Randal, David (Joyce), Steven (Mary Jo) and Thomas; grandchildren, Katie, Tony, Julia, Nick and Maria; siblings, Pat (Bill) Kilpatrick, Peg (Bob) Hall and Gene (Alice) Anastasi; and many nieces and nephews.
Chuck was born in Harlan, Iowa and grew up on his family’s farm. He earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University and a degree in Meteorology from the University of Utah. He served six years in the Air Force as a commissioned officer. He retired from 3M as Director of IS & DP after 32 years of service. Chuck had many hobbies including stained glass, bowling, cycling, golf and traveling the world with Joan. He was a loving husband, a caring father and a loyal friend to many.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:30AM on Friday, August 3rd at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3878 Highland Ave., White Bear Lake. The only visitation will be 4-7PM on Thursday, August 2nd at MUELLER MEMORIAL, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake.
Memorials preferred to Family Means, a Stillwater non-profit, or to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
