LIFE STORY AS WRITTEN BY HER CHILDREN

Celine Rose Holm was born in St. Cloud Minnesota on August 14th, 1931. She was the daughter of Frances Sauer(nee Smith) and Michael Sauer. To her family and friends she was known as Mickey which is the nickname her
father gave her at a very young age.

She married the love of her life Alan F. Holm on April 27th, 1953. Mickey and Alan bought their White Bear Lake, Minnesota home in 1958 where they raised their five children.

Mickey was a devout Catholic and had a deep and profound spiritual faith. Mickey and Alan were members and very active in St. Pius X Catholic Church in White Bear Lake for many years.

She worked the majority of her career for Sperry Univac (UNISYS) from where she retired after 30 years.
Mickey was an avid reader, gardener, baker and enjoyed many a card game with family and friends. Most importantly, Mickey loved and was loved by her husband Alan, her five children, 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She was the loving force behind a 40 year family Christmas tradition of putting on a Nativity play that included all of her children, grandchildren and in later years her great grandchildren plus any family friends that she would always welcome to the family Christmas celebrations.

Mickey created an amazing legacy of love for family and for the Lord and her Savior Jesus Christ. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mickey passed away peacefully in her home on August 2, 2018. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Alan Holm; her parents Michael and Francis Sauer, her three brothers, Cosmos, Alrick and Alban and two sisters, Lorraine and Carol.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Diane) Holm of Miramar, FL, David (Karen) Holm of Afton, MN, Mary (Rod) Holm-Rathburn of Stillwater, MN, Lois Hall of Stillwater, MN, and Cathy (Gary) Moos of White Bear Lake, MN; her 16 grandchildren, Scott (Michelle) Holm, Nick (Katie) Holm, Josh (Maddison) Holm, Molly (Mark) Leonard, Russ (Nichole) Holm, Ben (Wendy) Arndt, Jim (Meghan) Peltier, Martin Peltier, JD (Tia) Peltier, Vincent (Sarah) Peltier, Janine Hall, Dragomir (Kadian) Mijic, Elizabeth (Steve) Huybrecht, Rebecca Moos, Fritz Moos, and Ellen (Sim) Franco, Jr.; 21 great-grandchildren, Cade, Jenna, Taylor, Michael, Corbin, Everly, Cooper, Colton, Owen, Evelyn, Alex, Aliyah, Helen, Jimmy, Trina, Aiden, Claire, Gwendolyn, Kaylee, Easton, and Raegan; and 1 great-grandchild on the way; and other family and friends.

Mickey was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and in the community. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mickey at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 10, 2018 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3878 Highland Avenue, White Bear Lake with visitation from 10:00-11:30 AM. A luncheon will follow in the church hall immediately after Mass. There will be a private interment at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
