Blizzard Chickens

A late spring storm hit the Roseau County farm just as the annual delivery of 500 chicks was due to arrive.  The mailman stopped in with the shipment. He opened the boxes and found All these chicks looking dead or near death.  The mailman told them he would notify the hatchery that all the chicks were dead. They quickly put the chicks under the heat lamp hoping to save a few and with in a few hours Hewy, Lewy and Dewy, and all their other brethren popped up alive. Well, a week or so later 500 more chicks arrived in the mail and the population doubled!  Wow!  A thousand chickens equated to a banner year at the chicken market! Extra money for Christmas that year!
