Beloved husband, dad, papa and son went to be with his Lord on December 3, 2018. Preceded in death by wife Rosann & father Joseph. Survived by wife Molly (nee Moriarty); children Matthew (Elizabeth), Jessica Casalenda (Tony), Erica, Andrea, Alicia Elliott (Zach), Cassandra Dvorak (Matt), Tara and Leah; grandchildren Ali, Bella, Gavin, Ashton, Rafe, Eli, Angie, Liam, Luca, Rocco, Dani, Roni, Francesca, Easton, Breven, Finn, Eden & Killian; mom Janet; siblings Kim (Bruce), Joseph, Jennifer (Randy), Kelly (Mike), Katie (Tom) and Tom (Dawn) and many many more loving family members and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, December 6th at 11:00 AM at CHURCH OF ST. AGNES, 535 Thomas Avenue. Interment Old Cottage Grove Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 4-8:00 pm with eulogy to be read at 6:00 pm at MUELLER MEMORIAL, 835 Johnson Parkway and one hour before the Mass at church on Thursday with rosary at 10:30.

Mark, you've been my friend since the May 23, 1961. I was born the day after you and grew up across the street from you. We did everything together from commanding giant star ships to rescuing puppies from burning sky scrapers. We conquered the Germans in Eastern Europe and recovered treasure from the bottom of the ocean.
Until our late teens, not a day went by without connecting on some level. We shared many of the same friends and it never felt as if we'd been apart, even when I went off to college for weeks at a time.
I'm so thankful for my time with you and all the living we shared. The void I feel now will heal over time, but I am consoled knowing you are with GOD and at peace. I will never forget you and your chuckle... and encouragement.
I love you, Mark!

I am truly sorry for the loss and pain that Mark’s family and friends are feeling because of losing Mark recently in death, way too soon. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in God’s promises found at 1 Corinthians 15:26 where it tells us: “And the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing.” God’s kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6:9,10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Again, the family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences.
