Condolence: When I think of my childhood, growing up on Bush Avenue in St. Paul, the Zarbinski family is always there in my memories. They were like family to us Semlaks, and especially to us four kids. Doris and Jerry spoiled us, and their boys humored us, letting us hang out and listen to music with them, or play basketball in the driveway. Having Dennis next door was like having a really cool, big brother. I remember admiring a motorcycle he once had. He was always so patient as to let us hang around and ask him a million questions about whatever it was he was doing at the time. When Molly was born, you would have thought that the Semlaks had a new member of the family too! We adored you, Molly! My mom thought you were just the most beautiful little girl! I will always be so grateful to Dennis, for embracing our family and for sharing his life and his family with us. He will be missed! Terri (Semlak) Meis

Condolence: I didn't have that many friends growing up, but Dennis' son Sean was a constant positive presence in my life. Everything that a best friend could be - funny, competitive, consoling and willing to enjoy other peoples' idea of fun while introducing us to his.
Dennis taught Sean many of these traits, and I was a beneficiary. I have some great memories of Dennis - tubing on the water, watching boxing at his house, going to Vegas for Sean's wedding - but I'll never forget noticing during one of my weekend visits to the house that Dennis went out of his way to purchase food he knew I liked, a thoughtful gesture . I am going to miss Dennis while at the same time feel some consolation in the fact that a lot of him will live on in Sean, of whom he was immensely proud.

Condolence: When I think of Dennis a picture of him comes to my mind and he has a giant smile going across his face. He had a great smile. You could see the love he had for his life in his smile. He adored his children and was a very loving, super proud grandfather. He has passed some of his great qualities onto his children. I'm proud to have had him in my family. His sudden passing seems way too soon and he will surely be missed. Bless you all with much love, Aunt Shelly
