Condolence: After passing the CPA exam and joining the State Auditors Office in the later 70's from Ramsey County, one of my first assignments was to Jay's audit crew. Jay was always very professional in his audit approach and as a "green"addition to the Office he taught me much. His "audit cash summery" was a marvel to learn. With fond memories Jay, God speed.

Condolence: I had the great pleasure of knowing Jay from our time together at the State Auditors Office. Jay knew so much about so many things that just driving to and from various counties was a great experience. I always loved to stop and see him when in Minnesota until Covid made that impossible. He is a most memorable part of my working life and we remained close friends even after retirement.

Condolence: Jay was one of the best people I have met in my life. I worked with Jay for a number of years at the State Auditor's office and I think of him as a bit of a mentor. His football pool and Superbowl parties were a must. I was happy to see him at least once before the limitations caused by the pandemic. He is going to be missed.
