Loving husband, father and papa
Age 88, Of Oakdale
Lived on the East Side with his wife of 67 years, Mary Jane; his devoted daughters Lori Spiess of Oakdale and Leanne (Joe Yazdani) Spiess of Woodbury; beloved grandson William Jaan Yazdani; brothers Howard (Audrey) Spiess of Texas, and Bob (Sharon) Spiess of Detroit Lakes, MN. Bill is preceded in death by siblings Betty Pego, Helen Ishler, Don & Ed Spiess. He was everyone’s favorite “Uncle Bill”. As a longtime member of the St. Paul Fly Tiers Club, Bill’s passion was fly tying and fishing. Trout in Minnesota and Wisconsin can now feel safe. Visitation from 3-5 PM MONDAY, Dec. 26, 2016 at MUELLER MEMORIAL, 835 Johnson Parkway at E. 7th St., St. Paul with service starting at 5 PM. Reception immediately follows.
