Obituary for Elaine Catherine Tacke (Dunford)

ELAINE CATHERINE (DUNFORD) TACKE

Age 93 of White Bear Lake
Longtime Member of St. Mary of the Lake

Elaine was kind, generous, joyful, faithful, and sharp witted. She loved traveling, baking, and playing cards. Her family was the most important thing to her. Preceded in death by husband, Richard; and brothers, Gordon and Bill Dunford. Survived by brother, Dan (Mary) Dunford of Eagan; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 12PM (noon) on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at St. Jude of the Lake Catholic Church, 700 Mahtomedi Avenue, Mahtomedi, with visitation beginning at 11AM. Memorials preferred to Elaine's home parish of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. Private interment at Acacia Park Memorial Cemetery. Our family owes a huge debt of gratitude to Julie Norris who did so many loving things for her aunt. She spent many hours and much effort to comfort her and provide for her. Julie was a best friend and acted as a daughter to her.
