Age 86
Formally of White Bear Lake, MN died peacefully at Brookdale Memory Care Center in North Oaks, MN on April 5, 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was preceded in death by his oldest son Gregg Robert Anderson of Houston, TX and Grandson Timothy Lyons of Shoreview, MN.

Pallmer was survived by his loving wife of 61 years Lorraine E. Anderson whom he met in Willmar, MN. They made their home in White Bear Lake for over 50 years raising their family. Kay Lyons (John) of Shoreview, MN, Thomas Anderson (Robin), Mequon, WI, Mark Anderson (Martha), Woodbury, MN. 11 Grandchildren:
Christopher, Marie, Tara, Nick Anderson and Jarrod Taylor, Michael and Taylor Lyons, Clayton and Addie Anderson, Ella and Turner Anderson, and Great Grandchildren: Briton Leever Jr. and Madison Anderson.

Pallmer was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. Pallmer served with the 619 Ordnance and Ammunition Company in 1952 in Korea. After leaving the Army, Pallmer returned to Willmar becoming a Compositor working for the Willmar Tribune. He later moved to White Bear Lake and became Compositor for the Star and Tribune working 35 plus years before retiring.

Pallmer had a great love of sports and cars. He played on two softball teams until his late forties before trading in his baseball bat for golf clubs. He would never miss a chance to sit and watch sports on TV and at times would be listening to another game on the radio at the same time.

He learned his love of cars from his father who owned Bob’s Auto Repair in Willmar. Pallmer could recite everything and anything about cars back to the 1920’s and 30’s.
He put his knowledge of cars to good use helping many friends and family by working on their cars.

A memorial service and visitation will be held on Saturday April 22, 2017 in White Bear Lake, MN at Mueller Memorial on Bald Eagle Ave. A visitation will start at 10am followed by a service at 11am. Lunch will follow the service at Mueller Memorial.
