Obituary for Marie Antoinette "Sr. Marie Antoinette" Chouinard

Member of The Sisters of St. Joseph of Medaille
Went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2017, one day short of her 100th birthday. Preceded in death by her much loved parents, brothers and sisters. Survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and the sisters of St. Joseph of Medaille. In 1937 Marie went to France for her noviciate and was stranded for 9 years during WWII. She was able to blend in with the French during the German occupation due to her ability to speak fluent french. After the war she returned to Minnesota and was a dedicated nurse anesthetist for the communities of Park Rapids and Baudette and St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, June 3 at 10:00 am at CHURCH OF ST. LOUIS, corner of Cedar and 10th Streets, St. Paul with visitation one hour before the service. Entombment St. Mary's Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to The Sisters of St. Joseph of Medaille or Little Sisters of the Poor.
