Obituary for Jean Mable Kroll (Rouse)

Kroll (nee Rouse)
Jean

Passed away July 8, 2018. Preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Marie Rouse and sister, Gail Rech. Survived by her husband, Arnold; sons Eric and Mark (Coralie) Kroll; sisters, Pauline Hite, twin sister Gerry Von Hinueber; Cyndy Genadek, and Vicki Prachar; brother-in-law, James (Beverly) Kroll; 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jean was born in Eau Claire, WI and spent her very early years in St. Paul, then 2 years in Amery, WI’s high school, and her last two years at Central High School in St. Paul.
Jean married Arnold Kroll and they spent 57 wonderful years together, during which she raised their two sons. She lived her adult life in Forest Lake where they all enjoyed physically active water sports in the summer, and in the winter, skiing on the nearby slopes.
She fought ALS the last 3 years of her life, which finally claimed her life.
She fulfilled her dreams of being an indispensable wife and mother, who absolutely added finishing touches to those she lived with and raised. These touches weren’t necessarily administered verbally, more often by being a living paradigm. During their retired lives Jean and Arnold enjoyed an abundance of travel, visiting many parts of the world. Her life was mainly one of quiet optimism, cheerful encouragement and unsung accomplishments. Memorial donations preferred to your favorite charity. A memorial service will take place at 6:30PM on Thursday, July 12th at MUELLER MEMORAIL, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake. Visitation begins at 4PM.
