Obituary for Patricia Mitchell "Pat" Anderson (Wessel)

Patricia Mitchell "Pat" Anderson (Wessel)
Anderson,
Patricia
(nee Wessel)
Age 73 of Mahtomedi

Pat entered her new life peacefully at home on May 21, 2017 after a valiant fight with cancer. As a young girl growing up in Mahtomedi, Pat was introduced to her love of dance at Larkin dance studio. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1961 and later pursued a career as a chemical dependency counselor at Hazelden. Family and friends were Pat's passion in life. She never met a stranger. She was a permanent fixture at her Grandchildren's events, was a true Zephyr fan and an active volunteer with United Way, Girl Scouts and St. Jude's food shelf. With a zest for life, she loved golf, gardening, water aerobics and drinking Coca-Cola. She'll be remembered by all who knew her as a caring individual who touched many lives with her warm smile and generous spirit. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. Her final thoughts "I did the best I could while I was here."

Preceded in death by her husband and copilot Jon Anderson and Father Ambrose "Murph" Wessel. Survived to honor her memory are her children Mary Cromer (David) and their children Taylor & Haylee; Shelley Mitchell (Gregg Mohs); Marnie Maroney and her children Jordan & Justin; Scott Mitchell (Elyse) and their children Ben & Spencer; Tim Mitchell and his children Kelli, Lauren, Griffin & Reese.
