My Super Hero

When I (Leo) was around 4 years old I was riding an old 3 wheel peddle tractor around the side of the house. I remember figuring I could ride it down all the way to the bottom and thought it would be a fun bumpy ride. Mom saw from inside the house, that I wasnt going to slow down. That I was headed straight for the steep front yard stairs. Super mom to the rescue. In one move she ripped the screen door off, handed it to the stunned neighbor, and grabbed me right before I went down the stairs. Believe me it would have been ugly if she hadnt saved me. Mom was my super hero. Her super powers are she had a gentle presence such that no one ever wanted to disappoint her, Kind, always wanting to help, able to do anything she tried, super cook, and able to pluck kids from danger. Her super powers as a mother were limitless. I would say her greatest power was the example she and Dad showed in their 68 years of marriage. I will miss you, your smile, your voice which always lifted my spirit. Love Louie Sent from my iPad
